1933 Rolls-Royce Semi-Expanding Carburetor

In April 1933, Rolls-Royce made substantial changes to the Phantom II carburetor. The new carburetor was a semi-expanding type and featured a large horizontal air cleaner positioned alongside the engine. In contrast, the Pocher kits feature a very different and, unfortunately, oversized first generation carburetor. That carburetor was taken out of production in January 1932. Virtually nothing of the Pocher carburetor could be used in building the semi-expanding version so this carburetor model was almost completely scratch built.
