Paint deserves a special mention.

Of all the model building techniques, painting is one of the trickiest. Worse, the penalty for getting it wrong is hours or remedial work and the potential loss of the part. I've probably had to redo more parts because of painting mistakes than for any other reason.

The following three page note captures the techniques used, and lessons learned, in painting the models on this website. I’m more pragmatist than purist and I have a personal preference for rattle cans and lacquer paint. Nevertheless, or because of that, you may find these notes to be useful.
